Relocation to the Canton of Zug
Goods inspection company SGS moves definitively to the canton of Zug!
The shareholders gave the company's plans the green light on Wednesday evening.It was a hot potato that the goods testing group SGS has been touching in recent weeks. The management intended to relocate the headquarters of the company, which has been based in Geneva for more than a hundred years, to the canton of Zug. The plans led to criticism both in Geneva and from a shareholder in Zug (zentralplus reported).
Now it is
clear:
SGS is moving to Baar. The shareholders gave the
green light at last Wednesday's Annual General Meeting, as
reported by various media. The relocation of the company
headquarters is to take place on November 1.
A majority of 90 percent of
shareholder votes approved the proposal.
